I was not local to Corpus Christi and didn't even know how to begin to look for an apartment and to top it off I had to make finding an apartment even more difficult by owning 2 dogs and a ferret and being a full time student. I called Mary from AA Apartment Finders/Elegant Homes and she found not one, but 3 apartments that would accomodate my needs, all within my price range. I set up an appointment to view the apartments and drove 4 and a half hours to Corpus Christi to meet Mary. We totally misjudged how long it would take to get there and ended up being extremely early, but Mary accomodated us and agreed to meet with us at an earlier time and until that time other staff from AA Apartment Finders were extremely friendly and helpful, gave us a map of the city and easy directions to get to the TAMUCC Campus (the whole reason for our move). She also chatted with us and made us feel at ease. When Mary arrived, she told us that she would take us to the place that she thought that we would like the best, they were at lunch when we arrived so she took us to one of the other properties so we'd have a comparision to make between the 2, but it didn't matter, she was right, the property she thought we'd like the best, is the one we ended up getting. Not only did she drive us to show us the apartments, she also stayed with us while we filled out all the paperwork, and made sure that we asked the right questions. She also answered any questions we had about the city as well as telling us of some of the places we might want to check out for fun. She was very friendly, informative, and professional. If I ever have to move within the city of Corpus Christi, she would definately be the first person I call!
